Stephen S. Kasperwicz

February 6, 1920 — August 25, 2005

Stephen S. Kasperwicz of Malden, formerly of Somerville passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Whidden Hospital in Everett. He was 85 years of age.





Born in Watertown, Stephen was the beloved son of the late Simon Kasporowicz and Mary (Klemash) Kasporowicz. Stephen was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.





Stephen was an avid traveler. He liked photography. He enjoyed all types of sports, especially the Boston Red Sox. During World War II, Stephen defended our freedom as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Stephen was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life.





Stephen was the beloved husband of the late Olga (Haponuk) Kasperwicz. He was the devoted father of Janet Mannone and her husband Joseph of Malden. Stephen was the cherished grandfather of Adam Oppedisano and his wife Tanya, Brian Oppedisano and his wife Joanna and Nicole Mannone. He was the loving great grandfather of Abigail, Nicholas and Paul. Stephen was pre-deceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.





Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday from 2-5pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants will be on duty. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday at 11am in Mount Hope Cemetery, 355 Walk Hill St. MATTAPAN.
