Stephen J. Remmes of Stoneham, August 10, 2011 at age 70. Beloved husband of Judith C. (Durfee) Remmes. Devoted father of Daniel J. Remmes and his wife Jennifer, Jennifer M. Remmes, and Amy E. Curry. Cherished grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Ann Merrigan, Richard Remmes and his wife Ann, Mary McPherson, and the late Claire Grimm, Robert Remmes, Marjorie McDonald, Frank, William, David John and Paul Remmes.



A Funeral Service celebrating Stephen's Eternal Life will be held on Monday at 10 am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Sunday from 3-7 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.



For the past 20 years, Steve worked at Mass Medical Society in Waltham and was a founding member of the Dorchester social organization, The Line Club. He was an avid golfer, cribbage player and Patriots fan who enjoyed time with his family, especially grandchildren, lifelong friends, and time with his wife at their vacation home in Brewster
