Susan (Rizzo) D'Angelo

Susan A. (Rizzo) D'Angelo of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, passed away on November 7, 2014 at age 76.
Susan was the beloved wife of Peter D'Angelo. She was the loving mother of Peter D'Angelo and his wife Rebecca and Doreen Hatch and her husband Randy. Susan was the devoted grandmother of Monica Hatch, Grace D'Angelo, Isabella D'Angelo and Rocco D'Angelo. She is also survived by many loving cousins.

Susan was a graduate of the class of 1960 from Boston College earning her the distinguished title of Golden Eagle, meaning that she is a fifty plus year alumna. Susan had a love of education. She taught elementary school for five years in Medford and was heavily involved with multiple PTO's in Stoneham including the Robin Hood School PTO, the Central School PTO and the Junior High PTO. A forty-five year resident of Stoneham, Susan's drive and commitment to excellence in her community was seen though out all of her civic commitments. She was a former member of the League of Women voters, Stoneham Band Parents and Stoneham Booster Club and was a den mother for the Stoneham Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 9am followed by Funeral Service celebrating Susan's Eternal Life in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham at 10:00am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 3-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
