Susan L. Mackenzie

Susan L. (McCaffery) MacKenzie of Stoneham passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at her home. She was 86 years of age.





Born in Cambridge, she was the beloved daughter of the late John McCaffery and Catherine (Coughlin) McCaffery.





Susan loved the comfort and company of her family and friends. Beautiful woman of infinite generosity, she enjoyed spending with loved ones. Some of her interests included Sunday dinners, vacationing on the Cape, ceramics, playing cards for hours with her grandchildren and dear relations. And of course, she was the ultimate loyal Red Sox fan.





Susan was the love of 72 years and beloved and devoted wife of 63 years of Duncan S. MacKenzie. She was the devoted mother of Sandra Arsenault and her husband Bernard of Randolph, Susan Bernat and her husband Philip of Stoneham, Karen Galipeau and her husband David of New Hampshire. Susan was the cherished grandmother of Kim Cabral, Duncan Arsenault, Michelle Rota, Christopher and Eric Bernat, Nicole, David and Michael Galipeau. She was also the loving great grandmother of 7 and the dear sister of John McCaffery of Bourne, Anne Broadbent of New York and the late Mary McCaffery and Catherine Szabo.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Susan's life in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Saturday 5-7pm and Sunday 2-6pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
