Age 86. Died January 3, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease and Cancer at Windsor Place of Wilmington, MA. Formerly of Reading, MA. Daughter of the late Nicodemus and Palma Rose Costa of Calabria, Italy. Sister of Victoria L. Griffin and her late husband Robert of Reading, MA, Francis L. Costa and his late wife Elizabeth of Milford, NH, Esther Costa of Boston, MA, Venice Knoop and her husband David of NJ, and the late Sophia, Pasquale, and Salvatore Costa. Aunt of Pamela T. Girouard and her husband James of Reading, MA, Robert P. Griffin and his wife Jennifer of Arlington, VA, and Victoria H. Griffin of Reading, MA. Great Aunt of James and Maggie Girouard of Reading, MA, and Robert and Peter Griffin of Arlington, VA. Also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation: Family and friends are cordially invited to call at Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte.28), North Reading, at Reading line, from 8:30-9:30 am on Friday, January 6, 2017.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, MA on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow after procession to Charles Lawn Cemetery, Charles Street, Reading, MA.

The Costa and Griffin families wish to express our deepest thanks to the staff of Carlysle 1 at Windsor Place of Wilmington, MA for all of the love, care, and compassion that they showered Teresa with every day. She will be missed by all who had the chance to know her. We hope her beloved Border Terriers, Barney and Spring, were waiting to greet her at Heaven's gate. Riposino in peace.
