Theodore R. "Ted" Watson

Theodore "Ted" Roosevelt Watson. of Reading, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2017 surrounded by his family at home. He was 91 years of age.
Born in Quincy, Ted was the son of the late James and Gertrude (Benton) Watson. Ted was a longtime resident of Reading. He lived in Reading for over 60 years. He served honorably in WWII as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps . Ted, along with his brother John operated Watson Brothers Plumbing in Reading for more than 30 years.. Theodore was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 1031 in Reading.
Beloved husband of the late Phyllis M. (Lindquist) for 50 years. Loving father of Joan A. McDonald and her husband John of Edmonton, Alberta Canada, Donna R. Rosenkrans and her husband William of Naples FL., Martha L. Watson of Reading. Cherished grandfather of David Rosenkrans, Pamela Nuche and her husband Alberto, Emily Wanczyk and her husband Edward, Andrew McDonald and his fiancé Rachael Leavitt, and Gillian McDonald. Dear brother of John Watson, Barbara Burbine and the late Robert, Edward and William Watson and Virginia McKinnon. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Friday March 10th 2017 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Theodore's Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Thursday from 4-8pm. Parking attendants and ramped entrance available.
