Theresa F. DiMattia, 79, of Stoneham and formerly of Medford. Born in Boston, she is the beloved daughter of the late John and Carmella (Lerro) DiMattia.
Theresa grew up in the Hillside section of Medford, where she resided for many years, until moving to Stoneham. She was a graduate of Medford High School. Theresa worked as an executive assistant for Stop and Shop, and then as trustee for a charitable foundation. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham and was an avid sports fan. Her many interests included gardening, travelling, reading, bowling and enjoying special times with family and friends. She was a loving aunt, sister and friend and will truly be missed by her loving family.
Theresa is the loving sister of Rita Moreno, Philip DiMattia and his wife Ann and the late Nancy Sannella and her late husband Michael. She is also the cherished aunt of ten nieces and nephews and the dear great-aunt of many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Theresa's Eternal Life will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 10am. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
