Theresa A. (Pappalardo) Finnegan, 75, passed away on Saturday, July 8th at the Glen Ridge Nursing Home in Medford after a lengthy illness. Born in Medford, she is the daughter of the late John and Angelina (DeSimone) Pappalardo.
Theresa grew up in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School.
She has been a resident of Medford for many years. Theresa worked as a drug and alcohol counselor. This was a job she was extremely proud of. She was a talented artist, loved dancing and listening to the music of the 1950s. Theresa was proud of her Italian heritage, loved her cat Tony and most importantly, loved her family. She was a strong and independent woman and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Michelle Finnegan and Michael Finnegan; her cousin Carol Burri; her brother Billy Pappalardo and his wife Helen, her niece: Patrice Blauvelt; along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories at the Barile Family Funeral Home on Thursday, July 13th from 8 – 9:30am. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Theresa's Eternal Life will be held following the visitation at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
