Thomas M. Crosby of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Spaulding Hospital, Cambridge.
Tom was born and raised in Stoneham. He was the son of the late William E. Crosby and Ann (Miles) Crosby. Tom was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom attended Stoneham Schools and graduated in 1959. Mr. Crosby joined the staff of the Stoneham Housing Authority as a seasonal employee in 1963 and as a full time employee in 1965. He retired in 2003 after 40 years of service to the agency and its residents. Tom was a member of the Red Men Club of Stoneham for 50 years.
Tom was the husband of Geraldine (Penny) Crosby. He was the devoted father of Melissa Crosby Greenleaf and her husband Scott of Wakefield & Debbie Crosby of Stoneham. Tom was the cherished grandfather of Thomas Scott Greenleaf and the dear brother of Lois Sitnik, Patricia Love, Joanne Elliott, Gerald Crosby and the late William Crosby Jr. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Thomas' life was held on Monday, October 4, 2010 in St. Patrick Church. Burial was in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
