Thomas F. Ells

Thomas F. Ells of Stoneham, formerly of Chelsea passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 78 years of age.

Born on July 12, 1936 in Chelsea, Thomas was the loving son of the late Thomas and Mary (Richard) Ells. Thomas was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Thomas was a loyal and dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for many years. He proudly defended our freedom by serving in both the United States Army and National Guard.

Thomas was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Lillis) Ells. He was the devoted father of Karen Murphy and her husband Chris and Kathleen Nye and her husband Ken. Thomas was the cherished grandfather of Sean and Eric Malonson, Colleen Murphy and Morgan, Thomas and Cameron Nye. He was the dear brother of Louise Norton and her husband Richard, Arthur Ells and his wife Patricia, Kathleen Strong and her late husband Roy and the late Harry Ells and his wife Virginia, Theresa Ells and Nancy Ells. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Thomas' Eternal Life will be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2015 at 10am in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Thursday, July 2nd, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
