Thomas H. Green Jr. of Reading, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at his home.
Born in Boston, Thomas was the loving son of the late Thomas H. Green and Frances (O'Brien) Green. Thomas was a warm and caring son, husband, father, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.
Thomas was retired from the United States Customs Service. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran.
Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Mary L. (Doyle) Green. He was the devoted father of Lisa Pelland and her husband Stephen of Reading. Thomas was the cherished grandfather of Stephen and Katherine Pelland. He was the dear brother of Carol McCarthy and her husband John of Chelmsford, Eleanor Lahiff and her husband John of Lexington. Thomas was the brother in law of Alice, Cecilia, Charlotte and Lloyd, all of Nova Scotia, Canada. He was also survived by his dear friend, Joan Mitchell and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday from 9-10:30am in the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Thomas' life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 11am. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
