Thomas J. Palumbo of Reading, formerly of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He was 53 years of age.





Born in Medford, Thomas was the devoted son of Eleanor (Covino) Palumbo and the late Vincent Palumbo. Thomas was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend. He will be sadly missed.





Thomas was a dedicated mail clerk for many years. He sang in the choirs of St. Agnes, St. Patrick, and St. Thomas of Villanova churches. He was a man who loved his family. They were first and foremost in his life.





Thomas was the loving husband and best friend of Mary E. (Donovan) Palumbo. He was the cherished brother of Kenneth Palumbo and his wife Jackie of Billerica, Judy Palumbo of South Carolina, Joanne Lyons and her husband Richard of Reading, Bobby Palumbo and his wife Rebecca of Danvers. Thomas was the son in law of Irene Donovan, the brother in law of Kathleen, Rose, William, Carol, Theresa and Timothy and the caring uncle of 21 nieces and nephews.





Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Thursday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Thomas' life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 11am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, W. Peabody.
