Thomas E. Rexford

Thomas E. Rexford of Stoneham, Lynnfield and Everett died on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the age of 97.

Tom was the son of the late Theresa (Power) and Francis Rexford.  Beloved husband of the late Ruth A. (O’Toole) Rexford.  Loving father of Kathleen Rexford, Thomas Rexford Jr. and his wife Cindy, and Christine Rexford Zavala and her husband Gabriel.  Grandfather to Craig Rexford, Ryan Rexford and his wife Vanessa, and Alex Schumer and his wife Allison.  Great grandfather to Ryleigh, Alexis and Maia Rexford, and Amelia Schumer.

Tom was a World War II veteran serving in Company “C” 742^nd Amphibious Tank division out of Fort Ord, California.  He graduated from Boston College in 1951 and spent his working life in insurance.  In retirement with Ruth, they spent their winters in Florida enjoying the warm weather and multiple friends.  When they were home, they enjoyed going out to lunch with friends and family most especially, Tom’s niece Janet and her husband Ron Marcotte.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Tom’s Family on Saturday, January 6^th from 8:30 – 9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.  A Funeral Mass Celebrating Tom’s Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, January 6^th in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St. Lynnfield at 10am.  Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
