GARD, Virginia L. (Overlan), of Reading, November 13, 2008 at age 85. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Gard. Loving mother of Nancy O'Soro and her husband Bud of Reading, Bob Gard and his wife Helen, Carol Shiner and her husband Jim all of North Reading. Cherished grandmother of Lisa Lawton and her husband Steve of Methuen, Michael O'Soro and his wife Jess of FL, Jenifer Afarian and her husband Greg of N. Andover, Angel Young and her husband Tom of Virginia, Elizabeth and Joseph Gard, James, Scott and Kyle Shiner all of North Reading. Dear sister of the late Arthur, Larry, Peter, Neil and William Overlan. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Virginia's life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill Street, Reading at 10 am.
