Verlie Loraine Pepoli

November 2, 1932 — April 5, 2009

Verlie Loraine (Lasher) Pepoli of Reading passed away on Sunday, April 05, 2009 at her home. She was 76 years of age.





Born in Boston, Verlie was the loving daughter of the late Bruce Lasher and Ethel (Donahue) Lasher. Verlie was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend. She will be sorely missed.





Verlie graduated from Somerville High School. She was a 48 year resident of Reading. Verlie worked for the National Fire Protection Association before retiring from Brown Brothers Harriman. She loved knitting, baking, poetry, reading and animals. Most of all, Verlie loved children. She enjoyed going to the library. She was a former member of the World Wildlife Federation and the MSPCA. Verlie also enjoyed the Reading Senior Center Activities, especially line dancing and aerobics.





Verlie was the beloved wife for 39 years of the late Alfred L. Pepoli. She was the devoted mother of Carol Pepoli of Reading, twin daughter Christine Brazell of Plymouth, Cynthia Pepoli of Reading and the late twin son Christopher Pepoli. Verlie was the cherished grandmother of Nicholas and Emily Brazell, Cara and Kimberly Pepoli. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.





Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday from 6-8pm in the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Burial will be private.
