Mother of James Barnes and his wife Kristin of NY, Kelly Colton and husband Scott of Ayer, Michael of North Reading and the late Kevin Barnes. Daughter of the late Ann and John Piazza and William Duffy. Daughter-in-law of the late Delia Barnes. Grandmother of Shane, Brendan, Carolyn and Brynne. Sister of Rita MacDonald of N. Andover, Joann Piazza of Methuen, John Piazza Jr. of FL, Angelo Piazza of NH and the late Kathleen MacDonald and Patricia Tucci.  Sister-in-law of Gordon MacDonald and Nancy Asher. Veronica is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28) NORTH READING, at Reading line, on Thursday, June 26 at 9:30am. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 10:30am. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Interment will be private.
