Veronica E. (Curran) Rooney of Reading, July 2, 2009 at age 95. Beloved wife of the late Frederic W. Rooney. Devoted mother of Frederick M. Rooney and his wife Peggy, the late Margaret Cahill and her late husband Patrick all of S. Boston, James W. Rooney of VA, Diane Sullivan and her husband Eugene of Wilmington, Madelyn Camarota and her husband Luke, Michael F. Rooney, Lorry Abrams and her husband Gary all of Reading. Daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret Curran. Cherished grandmother of Frederick Rooney, Jr. of Taunton, James and Joe Rooney of Dorchester, Michael Rooney of Hingham, Jackie, Mark, Chris Rooney, Brian Cahill all of S. Boston, Thomas Rooney of Braintree, Paul, Larry, Jay Rooney all of Milton, Donna Cahill of MO, Carolyn Donahue of Billerica, Derek Camarota of N. Andover, Michelle Walsh of Winchester, Katie Camarota of Boston, Matt and Jen Abrams of Reading, and the late Patrick Cahill of S. Boston and late Robert Kullberg of Billerica. Also survived by 34 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10 am.
