Victor Peter Petto, of Stoneham, passed away on January 27, 2008 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Port Saint Lucie Florida. He was 75 years old.
Born in Stoneham, Victor was the son of the late Ralph Petto and Emma (DiMeo) Petto. Victor lived his whole life in Stoneham before moving to Florida six years ago. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4 for 52 years. He loved fishing, baseball, basketball, Celtics, Patriots and Nascar. He loved to plant in his garden and spend time with his family who were first and foremost in his life. Victor proudly served our Country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Victor was the beloved husband of 49 years to Eleanor (Ceruti) Petto. He was the devoted father of Victor Petto Jr. of Stoneham, Elizabeth Perry and her husband David of Wakefield, and Joseph Petto and his wife Christine Stoneham. Cherished grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 2. Dear brother of Mary Campilio of North Reading, Raymond Petto and his wife Francis of Medford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service Celebrating Victor's Life in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Monday at 10am. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6 pm. Parking attendants will be available.
