Vincent C. Connors of Reading and Naples, Florida passed away on Friday December 12, 2003 at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. He was 76 years of age.
Born on December 20, 1926, he was the son of the late Cornelius Connors and Mary E. (Kirrane) Connors. Vincent was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. His family was first and foremost in his life. He will be missed by all.
Vincent was a Missile Systems Analyst for Raytheon Corporation for 31 years. He was a Navy Veteran serving our Country during World War II.
A devout Catholic, Vincent was an active member of St. Athanasius Church in Reading. He attended Boston College, graduating Class of '51. His love of his Alma Mater and the B C Eagles was very strong. He was a season ticket holder, cheering on every play the Eagles did.
Vincent loved people and had a passion for always helping others. He was a special and loving man and will be missed by all whose life he touched.
Vincent was the devoted and loving husband of 50 years of Margaret T. (O'Keeffe) Connors. He was the devoted father of Joseph F. Connors and his wife Anne (Gaquin) of North Reading, Mary Connors and her husband Chris Gill of Seattle, Wash., Michael E. Connors and his wife Ann (MacSweeney) of North Reading, Edward S. Connors and his wife Jeanne of Hermon, ME, Ann T. Connors-Cook and her husband Thomas of Hamilton, Margaret C. Daly and her husband Tim of Reading. He was the dear brother of Gerald J. Connors and his wife Patricia of Arlington and the late William and Edward Connors. Vincent was the cherished grandfather of Thomas, Andrew, Kathleen, Lauren, Michael, Shane, Daniel, Dereck, Jennifer, Carolyn, Matthew, Connor and Erin and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Parking available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading. Late Navy Veteran WW II.
