Viola Mae (Tompkins) Harrington, of Reading passed away on Friday December 14, 2007 at Salem Hospital. She was 78 years of age.
Born in Charlestown, Viola was a resident of Reading for many years. Viola was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grand mother great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all.
Viola was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Harrington. She was the devoted mother of Eileen Giddings and her husband Tom of Billerica, Carol Harrington of Reading, and the late J. Michael Harrington and John Harrington. Loving grandmother of Christopher Harrington and his wife Angela of Epping NH, Monica and Brenda Giddings of Billerica. Viola was the cherished great grandmother of Emma Harrington of Epping NH. Dear sister of Vera Dewey of Reading, Milton Tompkins and his wife Theresa of FL, Donald Tompkins and his wife Barbara of ME, and Richard Tompkins and his wife Barbara of N. Reading. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Graveside Service on Tuesday at 11am in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Viola may be made to the charity of one's choice.
