Virginia A. (Tankuns) Eisener
April 13, 1931 — September 17, 2019
Virginia A. (Tankuns) Eisener, 88, beloved wife of the late Warren R. Eisener, passed away on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. Born in Portland, Maine, she is the loving daughter of the late John Edward Tankuns and Anita (Miglinas) Klones.
Virginia grew up in Lynn, Mass and Cranston, Rhode Island. She attended and graduated from the Lynn School System. She enjoyed shopping and painting; reading, playing cards and computer games. Virginia loved good food, especially eggplant parmigiana, lobster, vegetables and corn on the cob. She spent summers on Ossipee Lake and winters in Naples, Florida. Virginia was dedicated to her family and beloved dog Muffie.
She is the loving Mother of Kent Eisener and his wife Charlene, Kevin Eisener and his wife Laurie, Karen Eisener-Bourne and her significant other Don and Kimberly Sozio and her husband Norm. Cherished grandmother of Rachel Borenstein, Shane Eisener, Alex Bourne, Brenton Bourne and his wife Cassie, Colin Bourne, Deanna Bourne, Erika Bourne, Nicholas Sozio and his wife Sam Putos and Danielle Sozio. She is also the sister of Kathy Dido and her husband Tom.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories at the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., Reading on Friday from 10am to 12:30pm. A reception will be held following the visitation at a local restaurant to be announced.
