Virginia M. Gent

Virginia M. (Sullivan) Gent of Reading passed away Saturday, January 3, 2004 at her home.

Virginia was the daughter of the late William & Mary J. (Harrington) Sullivan. She was a longtime resident of Reading. She was the owner of Winslow's on Haven St. Reading for over 20 years. Virginia was the friendly face behind the counter selling morning Commuter Rail tickets to the commuters daily.

Virginia had an unparalleled love for her family. Her passion was for her seven children. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all.

She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert F. Gent. She was the devoted mother of Virginia Hodson, Nancy Dymant, Christine Kelly, Peter Gent and Joanne Strong all of Reading, Mary Hopkins of Acton and Herbert "Chip" Gent of Carlisle. The cherished grandmother of Whitney, Ryan, Christopher, Allison, Nicole, Kathleen, Matthew, Leanne, Patrick, Meredith and Meaghan and dear sister of William Sullivan of Wayland and the late Rita Havlin and Patricia "Trish" Sullivan.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading Monday at 9am. At Virginia's request visiting hours are omitted.
