Vyto J. Alejunas of Wakefield passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was 72 years of age.
Born on Saturday, February 11, 1950 in Hanover, Germany, Vyto immigrated to the USA at 17 months and grew up in Cambridge. He was the loving son of the late Mikas and Sophia Alejunas and the eldest brother of Loretta DuPont, Father Richard Alejunas and the late Robert and Thomas Alejunas.
Vyto was the beloved husband of Christine (Jay) “Cindy” Alejunas. He was the devoted father of Michael Alejunas and the late William “Billy” Alejunas. He was also the cherished grandfather of Nicholas J. Alejunas. Vyto is also survived by a very extended loving family of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
During the Vietnam War, Vyto proudly defended our freedom by serving as a SP4 in the United States Army. He worked at Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington for 30 years, until his retirement in 2020.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Vyto’s Family on Saturday, October 8th from 1pm - 3pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. A Funeral Service Celebrating Vyto’s Eternal Life will be held at 3pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
