W. Howard Maddock of Reading passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Wingate Nursing Home in Reading. He was 87 years of age.





Born in Pennsylvania, Howard was the loving son of the late Alfred J. Maddock and Marie T. Rolekel. Howard was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.





Howard was a dedicated Vice President of State Street Bank for many years. He was a devoted member of the Reading Council of Knights of Columbus. During World War II, Howard proudly served our country in the United States Army.





Howard was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life. His love for them went unparalleled.





Howard was the beloved husband of Eileen J. (McInnis) Maddock. He was the devoted father of Linda M. Briere and her husband Charles of Woburn, Gial E. Kelley and her husband Michael of Derry, New Hampshire, William H. Maddock Jr. and his wife Maureen of Marshfield, Lori K. Ryan and her husband Michael of Wilmington. Howard was the cherished grandfather of 11 and the dear brother of Elizabeth Croteau and her husband Albert of Delaware.





Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Howard's life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Monday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
