Walter Francis Jude Marhafer

MARHAFER, Walter Francis Jude Marhafer, 72, beloved husband of 48 years to Mary (Ferullo) Marhafer, passed away on January 23, 2019.

Devoted father of Eric Marhafer and his wife Mai, Keith Marhafer and his wife Shauna and Christine Wright and her husband Scott. Cherished grandfather of Liam, Mason, Ethan and Makenna Marhafer and Emmett, Abel and Holden Wright. Beloved son of Walter and Barbara (Duggan) Marhafer. Loving brother of Robert Marhafer and his fiancee Linda Brunelle and Stephen Marhafer. Uncle to Brooke and Patrick O'Connell.

Walter grew up in Worcester and received his Associates Degree from Becker College. He worked for many years as a licensed master plumber. Walter was an avid golfer and talented athlete, having played basketball in college. He was a proud member of AA and had celebrated 40 years of sobriety. Most importantly, Walter was a devoted family man. He will truly be missed by his loving family and many friends.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Rt. 28) Stoneham on Monday, January 28th, 2019 at 9am followed by a funeral mass celebrating Walter's Life at Saint Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Walter's family at the funeral home on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 from 2 to 6pm.

Interment will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
