Walter C. Webb

Walter C. Webb, of Topsfield formerly of Reading passed away Thursday April 28, 2004.

Born in Melrose, Massachusetts Walter was the son of the late William E. and Mary (Coatman) Webb. He and his wife Phyllis were residents of Reading for over 50 years. He was employed by Addison-Wesley Publishing as a photo lithographer and later was employed by the Reading School Department. He was a United States Marine Veteran serving our Country during World War II.

Walter was a member of the Masons Good Samaritan Lodge for 50 years. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and he and his wife were members of the Old South Church.

Mr. Webb was the loving husband of the late Phyllis (Boyles) Webb. He is survived by his son William E. Webb and his wife Camille of Manchester and Kathleen J. Deplitch and her husband Brian of Wyoming. He was the loving grandfather of Kendrick Deplitch and Jeremy Deplitch both of Wyoming. Walter was the brother of Fred Webb of New Hampshire and Ruth Leslie of California and the late Robert Webb of Saugus.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Old South United Methodist Church 6 Salem Street, Reading, Saturday at 10 am with Reverend Judy Gould officiating. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. at the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden Street, Reading. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
