William J. Dunn of Reading, formerly of Chelsea passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home. He was 93 years of age.
William was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Shea) Dunn. He was the devoted father of Susan Savage, Janet Lincoln and her husband Michael, Mary Ellen Moscariello and her husband Peter, Christine Foti and her husband Peter, Patricia Dunn, Kathleen Dunn, Lauren Campbell and her husband Kevin and Maura Berardi and her husband Edward. William was the cherished grandfather of Katie Savage, Jessica Gale, Senior Airman Gale, USAF, Lea Moscariello, Michael Moscariello, Jonathan Moscariello, Emily Graziano and her husband Nicholas, Allison Foti, Erin Campbell, Jack Campbell, William Berardi, Richard Berardi and Nicole Berardi. The dear brother of John Dunn, Dorothy Wilson, Christine Dunn, June Antle and the late Joseph Dunn, Patrick Dunn, Helen Magee, Agnes Moreshi, Mary Keefe and Alice Lombard, William was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Bill was a Reading resident since 1957. He was also a member of St Agnes parish where his girls attended school. Bill was active in "the lambs" of St. Agnes and participated in many musicals. His strong tenor lead many performances done by The Lambs. In retirement he spent many winters in Venice FLA. He continued to perform musicals and volunteered in a harmonica group entertaining nursing homes. Bill was a loving son, husband, father, uncle, brother, father n law and grandfather. He will be missed by all.
Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING, Wednesday, July 29th at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating William's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Tuesday, July 28th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
