William (Bud) G. Connors, of Reading, died peacefully in his home in Kennebunkport, Maine on Saturday July 23rd surrounded by his family. Bud was the beloved husband and best friend of Paula Drozdal Connors. He was the much loved and devoted father of Katherine Connors of Washington, D.C. and Stephen Connors of Reading. He is survived by his dear sisters Eileen Morsett of Stoneham and Betsy Connors Chen of Wrentham. Bud was the son of the late William J. and Katherine Rynne Connors of Somerville, MA and the brother of the late Robert Connors of North Reading, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and a grand nephew.



Bud was the Database Manager for the Town of Reading, having worked for the Town for more than 25 years. He served as a Reading youth soccer coach for many years. Bud loved to travel with his family and spent many vacations in Europe. His favorite destinations were Florence, Paris and Ireland. He was a graduate of St. Clements High School and UMass Boston and held a graduate degree from the University of Iowa.



A Funeral Mass celebrating Bud's Eternal Life will be held at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading, MA on Friday July 29th at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday from 4:30 - 8 pm in Doherty-Barile Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., Reading MA. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
