William G. Hebert, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 16th, 2022 with his family by his side. He was 84 years of age.
William studied Judo at the Tahoku dojo in Somerville obtaining the rank of third degree black belt. He attended the Olympic Nationals in 1967 in Las Vegas. Holder of forty plus judo trophies.
Having a love for movies, William was able to become a Hollywood extra. In addition to movies he loved cars, flight, and technology. Most importantly was his family.
William is the beloved husband of Carol (Frizzell) Hebert. He is the devoted father of Jeffrey Hebert and Kristen Glynos and her husband Louis. Loving grandfather of Loucas Glynos. Dear brother of Joan Hebert and the late Arthur Hebert. Nephew of Ann Rego and her late husband Walter. Uncle of Patricia Flynn and her husband Chris, Linda Kerry, RuthAnn Dunn and her husband Joseph, Kim Smith and her late husband Michael and Chris Mulvihill and his wife Marci Bernard.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Saturday August 20th, 2022 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM from 10 am to 12 pm followed by a Graveside Service Celebrating William's Eternal Life in Forest Glad Cemetery on Lowell St. Wakefield at 12:45.
