Obituary

William J. Mahoney, of Woburn and loving and longtime partner of Paula (Vecchi) Muise passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.  Born in Medford, he is the loving son of the late William J. and Rita Ann (Morse) Mahoney. Affectionately known as Bill, he was raised in Medford, attended St. Rafael's School and was a graduate of Medford Vocational School.  An electrician by trade, Bill worked for many years for Mark A. Mirley Electric in Stoneham.  Bill had an extensive collection and love for H.O. model trains and loved attending the train shows.  Bill also enjoyed antiquing, flowers and yard work.  He had a perfectly landscaped lawn that he took great pride in.  He was also an animal lover and leaves behind his faithful fur companions, cats Flair and M.J.  Bill was a caring and wonderful person that will be dearly missed by many. In addition to his longtime partner Paula of Woburn and her son James Vecchi, he leaves three children: Jason Mahoney, Kerry Mahoney and Joshua Mahoney all of Medford.  Beloved brother of Carol Mahoney and he was a great friend to many who care and loved him. Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Thursday, April 14th, 2022 from 4 to 7pm.  A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 7pm.
