William F. Kellner

September 19, 1919 — July 8, 2005

William F. Kellner of Stoneham passed away on Friday, July 8, 2005 at Kindred Hospital in Peabody. He was 85 years of age.





Born in Cambridge, William was the beloved son of the late William E. Kellner and Helen V. (Croy) Kellner. William was a resident of Stoneham for 50 years. He was the former owner of Kellner's Pharmacy. William was also known for helping with numerous projects at St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham.





William was an adoring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. During World War II, William proudly defended our freedom as a Technician 3rd Grade in the United States Army.





William was the beloved husband of 63 years to Rita Marie (Walsh) Kellner. He was the devoted father of W. Brian Kellner of Stoneham, Barry M. Kellner and his wife June of Lawrence, Marlene M. Hopkins of Warwick, Rhode Island. William was the cherished grandfather of Lisa Williams, Michael Hopkins, Sara Kellner and Kristen M. Johnson and the loving great grandfather of Ambria and James. He was the dear brother of Eileen Connolly of Maryland and the late Paul and Joseph Kellner.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating William's life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
