William E. MacBrien

William E., 79, of Belmont, NH formerly of Reading, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 following a brief illness. Born in Reading, in 1930, he graduated from Reading High School with the class of 1950. He served with distinction in the Army during the Korean Conflict and returned home, a decorated veteran, to his job with the Reading Public Works where he retired after 37 years of dedicated service. Beloved husband of Norma S. (Smith) MacBrien. Devoted father of William W. of Methuen, Kerry Adams of Chelmsford, Andrew R of Chelmsford, Scott C. of Saugus and Peter E. MacBrien of Belmont, NH. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service celebrating William's life will be held on Saturday at 10 am in the Chapel of the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., Reading. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 4-8 pm. Parking attendants will be available.
