SHREWSBURY, William V. of Medford, November 2, 2006 at age 86. Born in W. Virginia, son of the late Walter E. Shrewsbury and Ethel (Mooney) Shrewsbury. Loving husband for 60 years of Rita (Madigan) Shrewsbury. Beloved father of John T. Shrewsbury and his wife Karen, William E. Shrewsbury and his wife June, Paul J. Shrewsbury, Ann Pontifex and her husband James, Mary Stearns, Elaine M. Shrewsbury and Carol A. Lynch. Papa of Maureen, Amy, Dennis, Laura, Suzanne, Ryan, Jeffrey, John, Jacqueline, Lynne, Cara, Jill and the late Brooke. Great grandfather of Michael, Dylan, Mary Kate and Jake. Former US Army Veteran, WW II. Recipient of 2 Silver Stars and 1 Bronze Star. Life member DAV of Medford. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating William's life in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West Medford at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, W. Peabody.
